Ancra’s bottom mount winch models easily attach to the bottom of any standard trailer for a variety of tie-down and hauling applications. Every winch is produced with a tough black powder coat finish, guaranteed to last many years of heavy use from up to 250 hours of standard salt spray testing. Ancra’s bottom mount winches are also made with smooth ground web slots that help to prevent ongoing damage and wear.

The Ancra name as well as the unit’s working load limit is stamped onto every winch so you can be certain of the quality. Our winches are forged with a seamless, solid steel mandrel and high-strength alloy pawl pins, ensuring strength and longevity you can be confident in. Ancra’s bottom mount winches are made even tougher with the X-Treme Zinc finish, which provides a significant increase in corrosion protection over zinc-plated, pain, or powder coat finishes.

The winches of all finishes endured harsh SAE J2334 testing, which included a 720-hour test simulating real-world driving conditions. The test included exposure to sodium chloride, calcium chloride, and sodium bicarbonate, which replicated the environment of highways that have been treated with de-icing salts or other solutions. The test was broken into 24-hour cycles, segmented into exposure to salt solution, high humidity, and relative dry, thus causing greater corrosion than standard wet cycles more commonly used in salt spray testing. The X-Treme Zinc finish produced only 1% of rust across the scale of the unit, while black powder coat produced five times as much, black e-coat ten times as much, and zinc plating sixty times as much rust.

Bottom Mount Winch Configurations:

  • Standard: The standard bottom mount winches are built to be simple to operate yet effective and efficient equipment. They are constructed of all high-quality materials and tested to stand up to the task for years to come.
  • Ratcheting: Built for ease of use, bottom mount ratcheting winches reduce strap tensioning time by 33% compared to our standard winches. The winch stays in place when tightened and reduces the risk of winch bar rollover.
  • Storable: Our bottom mount storable winches allow for webbing to be used for longer by use of the built-in spool. The spool can wrap up to 30-ft. of webbing into a single roll for clean storage.
  • Portable: Portable bottom mount winches have the advantage of versatility in that they can be placed anywhere on either side of a trailer. As they are meant for temporary installation, they provide unique solutions to otherwise more frustrating tie-down concerns.
  • 7mm: Ancra’s 7mm variety of bottom mount winches reduce the weight per winch by an average of 2-lbs. per winch, allowing for greater fuel economy or greater payload. Built with heat-treated material, the 7mm winches maintain their strength and durability.

Ancra winches comply with DOT, WSTDA-T3 and Canadian Standard 905 regulations.
